InoTec expands its presence in South America.
„Following initial scanner installations in Peru and Venezuela we are now turning our attention to the growth market Brazil“, announced Peter Schnautz, CEO of InoTec GmbH. To this end the Wölfersheim enterprise has concluded a dealer agreement with Scansystem Ltda. of Sao Paulo. InoTec presented the production scanners with great success at the IT exhibition BITS 2012, which was held in mid-May in Porto Alegre.
Brazil is the six largest economy in the world, having a GDP of around US$2.5 billion. The country expects a growth factor of about three percent for 2012. Bilateral trade between Brazil and Germany in 2011 was €22.36 billion, which represented a substantial increase of 14 percent compared to the previous year (data supplied by the German Foreign Affairs department, current as of February 2012).
New Distribution Partner
InoTec is setting the course for longterm and sustained growth in the country. To this end the German enterprise signed a partnership agreement with Scansystems Ltda. The Brazilian scanner specialist will distribute the SCAMAX 4x3 series production scanners, effective immediately.
The new distribution partner has ordered his first demo unit and translated the scanner user interface, driver interfaces and marketing materials into Portuguese. „This enables us to offer our products in the national language, which strengthens our market position“, explains Wolf-Christopher Gramatte, responsible for international marketing at InoTec GmbH. He especially praised the strong partner commitment in the execution of the agreement and the tasks described above: „Everything was completed in just a few days “.
Ricardo Monteiro, General Manager of Scansystem Ltda. Is excited about the prospect of being able to offer a top product ‚Made in Germany’ in the high performance scanner segment: „It is consistent with our own standard to only distribute ‚Best in Class’ machines in every hardware category. We are very convinced about the enduring product concept, exhibited by the great degree of technological continuity and long life expectancy“.
Successful Exhibition Participation
The SCAMAX 4x3 document scanners generated their first positive feedback at the BITS 2012. This CeBIT event presents 215 enterprises to more than 10,000 trade visitors. It is an important platform for entering the dynamic IT market in Brazil and surrounding countries.
The InoTec 4x3 scanner, exhibited in the German Pavilion, showcased its performance during live operations. Another 4x3 model, exhibited on the stand of ELO do Brazil, demonstrated how optimal interaction between document scanner and document management system performs in an actual work environment.
„The trade fair was exceptionally busy during the three days. We were able to establish many new business contacts during the exhibition. The ‘Deutsche Messe Hannover’ (the CeBIT organisers) once again insured smooth event proceedings“, reported Wolf-Christopher Gramatte.
Further exhibition participations are already planned together with the new distribution partner. InoTec and Scansystem Ltda. will jointly exhibit at CIAB, an IT industry event specifically for banks and insurance companies, in the middle of June in Sao Paulo.
