Peter Schrittenlocher retires from DATAWIN management board

Pressemitteilung

After more than 30 years as CEO, DATAWIN’s founder is relinquishing all operational duties. The responsible CEO will thus be Johannes Boerboom, a member of the management board since 2015.

Ergolding near Landshut, 27.09.2022. Peter Schrittenlocher (74), co-founder and since 1992 CEO of the Lower Bavarian niche world market leader DATAWIN GmbH, is leaving the management as planned at the end of the fiscal year (September 30, 2022). At the same time, he will relinquish all operational duties. A succession plan already implemented in 2015 guarantees continuity for employees, partners, suppliers and customers.

Peter Schrittenlocher founded DATAWIN in Landshut in 1992 as a two-man company together with Ernst Wendleder and Max H.-H. Schaber. Over the course of three decades, he has developed DATAWIN into a global market leader in document scanners, with three brands and over one hundred employees. His succession plan was already set up in 2015, when Schrittenlocher appointed long-time DATAWIN authorized signatory Johannes Boerboom (39) to the management board, thus preparing for a smooth transition. For the past seven years, Schrittenlocher and Boerboom had jointly managed DATAWIN’s business. Now Boerboom is taking over sole operational management of the company and its three brands DATAWIN, InoTec and BAPIS.

Peter Schrittenlocher, retiring CEO DATAWIN GmbH:

“I am proud of and grateful for what we have created and achieved together in over three decades. Our company has never been in a better position than now, and it is a perfect time to take the last step in the generational transition. I am very pleased with our succession plan and convinced that it guarantees a seamless transition for everyone involved. The company is and will remain in the best hands and I look forward to following its further development from a due distance. Of course, I can and will never completely lose sight of DATAWIN and the scanner market. If only because many colleagues, partners, customers and market participants have become friends to me in the course of the decades. My greatest thanks go to my wife Herma, who has always supported me. And also Max H.-H. Schaber, who gave the impetus to found the company more than 30 years ago, and always believed in DATAWIN, even in difficult times.”

Schrittenlocher will remain a DATAWIN shareholder together with Johannes Boerboom and Max H.-H. Schaber. In the future, Schrittenlocher wants to concentrate on his family and private projects.
